Successful Tomato Festival at the Market last Sunday!

Over 160 people joined us on Sunday for a Tomato Festival featuring live music from David Burchfield and the Great Stop, contests choosing the biggest, ugliest, best-tasting, and most adorable (pictured) tomatoes, and FreshFest cooking demonstrations with samples of bruschetta, tomato and cucumber salad, salsa, and more.

In addition to the wide variety of tomatoes, vendors brought a bumper crop of watermelon and canteloupe, peppers, early apples, squash, and corn.  Local honey, beef, and eggs filled out shoppers’ grocery bags.  It’s a good time to go to the market!  Join us this coming Sunday from 12-3, and add yourself to our e-newsletter list to get a FREE market cookie!
